I have reloaded bf1942 on my new computer now running Windows 7. When I try to install the patches I get a McAfee notice that it thinks the 1.61 patch has a trojan in it and then it automatically deletes it. The patch installation will not continue because it now reports missing files. What to do?

Windows 7 64-bit is damn evil when it comes to 1942, believe me, I have it. Even after doing all that, your game may run fine for a month or two, and then it will crash at the loading screen every 1 or 2 maps. Only thing you can do then is live with it or uninstall the game and do this all over again.
