MOBO only has one IDE1 combination slot for CD/HDD. You're actually better off getting SATA drives and leaving the IDE1 slot for your CD-ROM/DVD-ROMs. You can stick 4 SATA drives in there.
Usually not a good idea to run a CD-ROM and a HDD on the same cable. Hurts computer performance .

i'm not 100 percent sure, but it looks similar to that.
right now i'm leaning towards getting an enclosure and just converting it to an external. i'll probably just buy an internal SATA later on if i really need it.

OK,
You can get yourself a pretty good size SATA drive for around $100.00 on sale somewhere.
Compare the SATA HDD prices to the actual convertion kit price. May be better off going with the SATA HDD and playing with the conversion later. Keep that in mind.
