i wasnt referring to you jac in anyway. i was just preparing for some backlash from my suggestion that nvidia and the 8800 and 9800 series is inferior to the new ati 4800 series. Because ati really brought it this round. Not to say that the 8800 series isnt a great product becuase it is in terms of how long it has stayed relevant, but ati brought its A game with the 4850 and the 4870

Tell me this, why do all 3dmark Vantage records use nvidia cards?

and since when was 3dmark's vantage a game? If you look at benchmarks of actual games you will see ati winning. Unless its at the absolute high end, which nvidia has owned as of late with the gtx280. but the 4870x2 has come out and looking at the benchmarks it does indeed surpass the gtx280
