I have an ATI radeon HD 3800 series, I have a few cables and other things that came with it and have no clue what to do with them...

I have a BLUE, GREEN, RED Plug(Dont know what they are called... :\ each with their own cord that connect to a black plug, the bag has a code that is 146-00661-0000F

Then I just have a yellow plug with a code 140-02138-0080F

Then lastly I have another plug that is all metal that is 140-02114-0021F

Posted Image that is the Blue-Green-Red-Black

Posted Image This is the Silver plug

The last one I am unable to find an image of, it is an 8 pin.

Thanks,

Rick

The top plug is for connection to a TV along with the yellow plug you describe.

The adapters you have shown are for DVI to VGA for those who have older monitors.

As for the other I can't say without a part number or picture.

Isn't the top one for connecting to a TV with RGB inputs? That would be for HD input without using HDMI isn't it? Monkey is spot on with the other one. Some older LCD monitors didn't have DVI input. You could use this to make on of those monitors work on your newer connection video card.

There is a picture of the Yellow plug, I couldnt get a clear picture though because of the glare...

Monkey, which one do you mean? The last one is 140-02138-0080F for the part #,

My Monitor is fairly new it is a DELL 2405FPW so I dont know if I would need the cords then?

-Sorry for Image size, a little big....Err they wont go into Thumbnail?

Another edit,

# Supported Video Formats: 1080i
# Aspect Ratio: 16:10
# Video Inputs: Component, Composite, DVI, S-Video
# PC Interfaces: Analog VGA and Dual-mode (DVI-I)
# Built-in TV Tuner: None
# Brightness (Max): 500 cd/m^2
# USB Ports: 4

When I looked the cords up earlier it did mention something about DVI and S-Video
The specs above are for my monitor

If the monitor plugs directly to the card you are done. If you need the adapter use it and your done. the others are for secondary connections IF wanted but not required.

I have two monitors and I love the fact that my graphics card came with two additional adapters :)
