I’m back playing after many years away.
I was very active on your server back in the day.
I finally got the damn thing working on Windows 10 without constantly crashing.
I’ve been playing on Simple’s server. It shows up on the interface.
Why is it that Moongamers server never shows up on the BF42 interface?
How do I actually get on your server?
I’m not great at the technical stuff, so dumb it down for me.

Hello, 

EA shut off the master servers for BF1942 many years ago. You need to download the Master Server fix https://www.moddb.co...f1942org-patch1

Or add the server manually, using the IP: 51.81.48.224 (port 14567)

Thanks for the info and download link.

I downloaded and installed it but still don't see your server.

I also manually added the server and port through the BF42 interface and get a "server not found"

Is there a direct link to your server through the website?

Do you see any servers in the server browser when you hit Update?  If not, make sure that the BF1942 executable file has a date modified from 2022.  That's when the Master Server patch was released.

If the BF1942 executable does have a date modified from 2022 and you still do not see the MoonGamers server or any other servers, verify that BF1942 is not being blocked on a software firewall if you have one.

If BF1942 is not being blocked by the firewall and the BF1942 executable has a date modified from 2022, then you can try download the zip file that I've created below.

The zip file contains the master server patch and also includes an addon called DataField42 that will download any maps that might not be present in your BF1942 install.

DataField42 can be useful if you decide to play on the Interstate 82 (IS82) server.
